Ayurvedic Sesame Chutney

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Indicated for Prakritis: Vata and Kapha

Can be paired with: Suji Besan Pancakes, Dosas, Utthapas, Chillas, Chapati

Ingredients Quantity

  • Black sesame – 6 spoon
  • Coriander leaves – 1 bowl
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Black pepper powder – 1 spoon
  • Lemon juice – 5 spoon
  • Cumin seeds – 1 spoon
  • Peanut (optional) – 2 spoon
  • Salt – As per taste
  • Sugar – 1 spoon
  • Water – As required

Method of preparation

  1. Roast the Sesame seeds in an open pan on a low flame.
  2. Take care that they do not get overcooked or burnt.
  3. Chop the Coriander and garlic.
  4. Add all the ingredients together into the mixer.
  5. Grind the mixture well for 5 minutes.
  6. Add water considering the consistency of the Chutney.

Your Sesame chutney is ready to be eaten with your savoury Pancakes, parathas or dosas!
